Resources for Your Journey

Whether you are a Latter-day Saint with questions, someone who has already left, or a Christian wanting to share the gospel with Mormon friends, these resources are for you.

If You Have Questions

You Are Not Alone

If you are a member of the LDS Church and have found yourself with questions about your faith, know that you are not alone. Thousands of people every year come to a point where the claims of the LDS Church no longer add up, and they begin searching for answers.

Having questions does not make you unfaithful or broken. It means you take truth seriously. The Bible commends those who examine claims carefully rather than accepting them blindly.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.(Acts 17:11)

The God of the Bible is not afraid of your questions. He invites you to seek Him, and He promises that those who seek will find.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:13)
The Good News

The Biblical Gospel

If you have spent years in the LDS Church, you may be accustomed to thinking of salvation as something you must earn through ordinances, temple work, tithing, and obedience to commandments. The biblical gospel is radically different.

The Bible teaches that every person is a sinner who falls short of God's glory (Romans 3:23) and that no amount of human effort can make us right with God (Isaiah 64:6). The good news is that God Himself provided the remedy. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, took on human flesh, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for sin. He rose from the dead three days later, proving His victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Salvation is not a reward for good behavior. It is a free gift, received by grace through faith.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.(Ephesians 2:8-9)For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans 6:23)

You can have assurance of your salvation right now, today, not through temple ordinances or years of proving yourself worthy, but simply by trusting in what Christ has already done for you.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.(1 John 5:13)
A Word of Encouragement

Finding a Bible-Believing Church

One of the hardest parts of leaving the LDS Church can be the loss of community. Many former Latter-day Saints have found that connecting with a local Bible-believing church provides fellowship, encouragement, and a place to grow in a true understanding of God's word.

Look for a church that teaches the Bible as the sole authority for faith and practice, that proclaims salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, and that welcomes you with genuine love and patience as you work through questions from your LDS background.

The transition is not always easy, but you do not have to walk it alone. God promises to be with you every step of the way.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.(Isaiah 41:10)
